Phototherapy occurs naturally all around us and is based on the principle that our cells absorb light and use it fuel natural rejuvenation and repair processes. Dermalux® can also be used in combination with your regular skin treatments to upgrade and accelerate results. Our team will advise you on the best combination depending on the condition of your skin.

A 20 minute Dermalux session is £35 and a 30 minute session is £45 at our Surbiton clinic. For concerns such as acne, rosacea or pigmentation we usually recommend an intensive programme over 8 to 12 weeks rather than a single session.

Dermalux uses red light, but not only red light. It is an LED phototherapy system delivering blue, red and near-infrared wavelengths, each doing something different — blue targets blemish-causing bacteria, red supports radiance and repair, and near-infrared works deeper in the skin. Red light beds and panels typically deliver red and near-infrared only.

Most people see an immediate glow after a single session. For a lasting change we recommend an intensive programme over 8 to 12 weeks. Your practitioner will agree the number and spacing of sessions with you at consultation, based on the concern being treated.
