Back and Shoulder Laser Hair Removal for Men in Surbiton, near Kingston
Full back, upper back, lower back and shoulders, treated with Soprano Titanium
At 360 Degree Clinic in Surbiton, near Kingston upon Thames, back and shoulder laser hair removal for men is sold as a course of 6 sessions: £1,000 for the full back, £625 for the upper or lower back and £550 for the shoulders. Every course starts with a free consultation and patch test.
Back hair often covers a large area and grows thick and dark, which is the type of hair laser works on best. The Soprano Titanium uses a gliding technique with built in cooling, so a large area like the back can be treated in a single appointment.
How laser hair removal works on the back and shoulders
Laser light is absorbed by the dark pigment in the hair and carried down to the follicle, which reduces its ability to grow new hair. Only hairs in the active growth phase respond at each session, so a course of sessions spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart is needed to reach them all.
Before each session: shave the area the day before, avoid waxing or plucking for 4 weeks so the root is still there for the laser to find, and keep the area out of the sun for 2 weeks. If you cannot reach part of your back to shave, tell us at your consultation.
Which areas can you book?
- Full back, from the shoulders to the waist.
- Upper back or lower back on its own.
- Shoulders on their own, or added to the back.
- The back of the neck, if you want a clean neckline.

Back, shoulders or both?
Most men book the full back, because hair rarely stops neatly at the shoulder blades. If your hair is mainly on the upper back and shoulders, or mainly on the lower back, a smaller area can be enough. We look at the area with you at your free consultation and suggest the simplest plan.
Many men also add the chest and stomach, or the back of the neck. See all the areas we treat for men. For men, we do not treat the buttocks or intimate areas.
What happens at your consultation and patch test
Your first visit is a free consultation and patch test. We check your skin type, hair colour and any medication, agree the areas and give you a firm price for your course.
The patch test is a small test area treated with the laser, so we can see how your skin responds before your first full session. Your first treatment is usually booked a short time after the patch test.
If you have darker skin, the 1064 nm wavelength in the Soprano Titanium is designed for it. Read more on our laser hair removal for Black and dark skin page.
